The
Midea
way to create your website.
Who are you,
and what can you do for me?
-
Display
your company logo clearly at the top of the page.
-
Ensure
your contact information is easy to find.
-
Most
importantly, put yourself in the shoes of your visitor. Clearly
speak to their needs. Quickly get to the point of how you can help
them with your product or service.
Navigation
-
Design
site navigation to be clear and easy to use.
-
Creativity
is good, but be careful not to make your navigation so creative that
it's confusing.
Look and Feel
-
The
personality of your homepage should reflect your company's brand
image. If you are a professional make sure your homepage has a
professional feel to it.
-
The
design should add style to your site, not 'get in the way' of a
fast-loading, easy to navigate website.
-
Ensure
fonts are easy to read.
-
Make
photos big enough to be effective, but not so big that they take a
long time to load.
-
Don't
make your visitors wait for large Flash files to load. If you do
choose to use Flash, keep the file sizes small.
-
Visitors
don't like to scroll horizontally, so try to keep page width to an
industry standard maximum (we suggest 700 pixels).
-
Make
sure to check how your page looks in different browsers and monitor
resolutions.
